The Bharatiya Janata Party got a shot in the arm as two-time legislator from Bahujan Samaj Party, Gainda lal Chaudhry joined the party saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s has given a new vision to the public and political life. Chaudhary had won elections from Hathras constituency. BJP general secretary Vidyasagar Sonkar and spokesman Hridaya Narain Dixit welcomed Chaudhary in the party. “Though people are standing in queue still they are enthusiastic about the PM’s decision to cull high value notes. This shows the PM’s popularity among masses. Popularity of the BJP is on the rise and it is set to form the next Government in UP,” said Chaudhary and added that he had joined the party without any pre-condition.

The former lehislator attacked BSP chief Mayawati saying that she was only busy counting notes. “She loves currency notes and demonetisation has hit her very hard. Therefore, she is seen on television regularly,” he said. BJP spokesman Hridaya Narain Dixit said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav knows that his Government has failed to perform and is therefore inaugurating half-baked projects. “The non-completion of projects is a reflection of the government’s inability to carry out development work. If the Government was working, as claimed by the CM, it should have completed the projects in five years,” Dixit said. Meanwhile, BJP’s national vice-president Dinesh Sharma said that development has come to a naught during the Samajwadi Party regime. “CM might be claiming success in Bundelkhand but the fact is that people are suffering there. The protest in CM’s rally is clear pointer to that. Farmers threw chairs towards the CM,” Sharma pointed out.
