The British High Commissioner and other members of the delegation first visited lucknow Montessori booth at Sadar in lucknow where Governor Bl Joshi and Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati cast their votes. The delegation went around the polling station and spoke to people and poll staff deployed there.

“It was a historic moment in my life to watch such a large-scale voting process in this largest democracy. It was a good experience for me and I had an in-depth study of the voting system in the country,” he said.

later, the delegation met Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh at his residence and then went to Rae Bareli where Congress president Sonia Gandhi is contesting for the fourth time.

The delegation also visited the polling booth at Dayanand PG College in Bachhrawan town and the polling centre at Kendriya Vidyalaya at Gora Bazaar in Rae Bareli city.
