The new State headquarters of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Adami Party was vandalised on Wednesday by workers of newly form outfit Brahma Padkaar Sena (BPS).

The incident was in oppose to AAP leader Sangeeta Chandpa’s abusive and objectionable language against Brahmin community post flogging of Una Dalit youth. BPS claimed that those who beat Dalits were not Brahmins and despite the fact the AAP leader did abusive remark on the community.

According to sources a group of about a dozen BPS workers walked in to AAP office situated in Navarangpura area of Ahmedabad and asked to vacate it before damaging furniture and other articles there.

Spokesperson of BPS Ambrish Jani said that BPS had made repeated requests to the convener of AAP Gujarat unit Kanu Kalsaria to take action against Chandpa. However nothing was done, he said, adding that finally some of the young workers decided to shut down their office.

“What we want is that she be immediately removed from AAP and Kejriwal must publically apologise to our community as head of the party. We are not talking against any community,” he said. “If we are not disturbing people, why should people disturb us, that is our simple message.” Jani said that if AAP still fails to take action, his outfit would be more aggressive and shall not let AAP to keep any of its office functional in the State.

AAP on the other hand has blamed ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. They (BPS worker) could not have done so without political backing, said AAP Gujarat spokesperson Harshil Nayak.

AAP has lodged a police complaint on the incident and raise bogey over the fact that police did not arrive on time to control handful of people from vandalising their office, despite being across the street.
