A financial expert’s journey with the concept of money explains Samar Vijay’s A Tryst with Money at its best. The much awaited book by acclaimed financial expert was launched in a function on Sunday. The book was released by Rajya Sabha member Chandan Mitra. “Samar has tried to explain the role that money plays and how it came into being. Everything in life has value and when it is pitted against money, it becomes a product of sale and purchase,” said Mitra.
“A lot of people till today do not know about money. We have to understand money and look at it in a different way. It’s a moment of pride for me that my first book is being launched by Chandan Mitra, who I respect a lot. Finance is a complicated word for a common man, who find it difficult to understand and when I was confronted with this issue, I knew what I wanted to write for. I enjoy writing about Finance and through my findings and experiences I wanted readers also to enjoy and feel equally excited about it,” said Samar Vijay, the author of the book.
“like how money has moved from one era to another and changed the whole experience of this world, which are expressed in my book with examples inspired from common incidents of life. Anyone from any background can read, understand and benefit from my book. I am sure my book will change the outlook of finance/money,” he added.
The book launch was followed by a concert by Indo-Norway Group. They mesmerised the audience with mixture of Indian raga based tunes and enthusiastic spirit of Nordic Jazz. Viresh Mathur, IRS (Retd), Ex-Director General of Income Tax, Ajit Mishra, Managing Director, InvestCare, Ajit Sinha were present during the launch.
