In a relief that came seven weeks after it gave her interim protection from arrest, the Bombay High Court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to controversial self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa alias Sukhvinder Kaur, in alleged dowry harassment case.

After hearing arguments from her lawyers, the Mumbai police and the housewife who had filed the dowry harassment complaint filed against her and six others, Justice Revati Mohite Dere granted pre-arrest bail to Radhe Maa.

While granting relief, the Judge asked Radhe Maa to appear before the Mumbai police as and when she was  called for questioning in connection with the complaint lodged with the Kandivli police station by housewife Nikki Gupta.

On August 14, the high court had granted Radhe Maa an interim protection from arrest for two weeks. The relief had come to Radhe Maa hours after she was questioned by the Kandivli police in connection with an inquiry  ordered under section 156 (3) of CrPC by a Borivli Magistrate on a complaint of alleged dowry harassment filed by Nikki Gupta.
