Taking serious cognisance of the increasing number of Covid-19 patients in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday advised all senior citizens, all its employees, patients, employees and visitors in municipal hospitals in the metropolis to wear face masks as a precautionary measure.
After reviewing all aspects of the preparedness for tackling Covid-19, including the tests, Ward War Rooms, availability of oxygen and medicines, and the preparedness in private hospitals, Mumbai Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Iqbal Singh Chahal issued an advisory to all senior citizens and some other categories of people in the metropolis to wear face masks.
