The ongoing family feud in Samajwadi Party found mention in the advertisement in Bharatiya Janata Party calling the fight between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav as ‘drama’ drawing ire from SP leaders who called this commercial a sadist face of BJP.
On Sunday people woke up to see headline ad in all leading newspapers which read: Baap bete ke drame hazaar-nahi chaahiye aisee sarkar. In the same advertisement the BJP has issued a toll free number. When one dials it one gets to hear a recorded message of party State president Keshav Prasad Maurya who thanks listener for connecting with ‘Mann ki baat’. There is an option for the listener to get his views recorded as what he wants in UP.
Sources said a video has also been made on going family feud and would be released in electronic media shortly. “I have no idea about video it would be released from the Central headquarter in Delhi,” a senior leader told The Pioneer.
The BJP’s advertisement on SP family feud is seen as negative campaign. “We admit there is some problem in our family. Does it look nice for a party which talks about Hindu sanskar to make fun of this family crisis,” SP leader Rajendra Chaudhry said. “This shows the BJP leadership has a sadist mindset and it wants to humiliate others,” he said.
The BJP strategists say that they have started their campaign by highlighting negatives of SP and BSP so that people could know how much damage these parties have done to UP.
“We will then take the campaign to positive side by highlighting achievements of Modi government,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP has set up a ultra modern election war room in lucknow with round the clock monitoring of the campaigning and its impact. Social networking, research and analysis, news monitoring and press briefing are the highlight of the war room where around 100 youths have been engaged by the party.
BJP had also drawn up a mega programme on poster war, highlighting the present law and order and others failures of the present Samajwadi Party government in the state besides projecting the good governance of Narendra Modi government.
BJP general secretary Vijay Bahduar Pathak said that party would go for a positive campaigning in this election. “We will reach out to people with a positive message asking them to support BJP to form the next government in the state,” Pathak said.
