Delhi BJP’s Mahila Morcha workers on Tuesday staged a demonstration outside CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence demanding action against AAP leader Kumar Vishwas for his playing around with the sentiments of an AAP woman volunteer and damaging her family life.
Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said, “This is not the first instance of humiliation of a woman volunteer in Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal and his AAP leaders have very poor record of women respect as a result of which almost all senior women activists who started out with Kejriwal have either quit the party or have been sidelined.”
Upadhyay said that Kejriwal’s dis-concern for women issues can be gauged from three points. Despite being a major electoral issue almost three months of his Government have gone by and Kejriwal is yet to appoint women commandos in buses.
BJP Mahila Morcha president Kamaljeet Sehrawat said that for Kejriwal women security and rights are just an issue to garner women votes. Be it the Nirbhaya or Moga Kejriwal’s party lights candles just for political benefits.
Upadhyay called upon women of Delhi to send email to Kejriwal every day saying — AAP get well soon, change your mindset and respect women. BJP women activists were led by Delhi Mahila Morcha president Kamaljeet Sehrawat.
