BJP trying to fit its ideology into people's minds, alleges Cong

The Congress on Friday alleged that the RSS-backed NDA Government has been trying various propagandas for vested interest. After making issues like ‘love Jehad’, ‘Review of Reservation’ etc, which, however, could not be galvanised by BJP as was the result shown in Bihar Assembly polls, the ruling party is now trying a new ploy of masking their bigoted ideology into nationalism and trying to somehow fit its ideology into the minds of the people through repression and coercion.

“The Congress is deeply concerned that the RSS and Sangh Parivar outfits and the BJP are trying to fit their square ideology into the circular ideology of the nation. Characterised by an essentially anti-Dalit, anti-progress and anti-youth mindset, the Government, whose leaders were frequently indulging in violence of words against the Dalit, poor and youth has now resorted to violence of deeds against the students of India,” said AICC spokesman Abhishek Singhvi.

The party said that when the “love Jihad” and the “Review of reservation” propaganda failed, the RSS is now trying this new form of ideology into the minds of the people. “We strongly condemn all kinds of anti-national activities and demand strict action should be taken against them. But raising nationalism as a bogey to repress students and gag campuses is totally unacceptable to the polity of this nation,” said Singvhi.

Singhvi said that country is witnessing unrest and tension amongst students in university or college campuses across the country, as a reaction to the grossly insensitive and partisan cycle of atrocities and repression let loose by the Narendra Modi Government.

“A Government, with a clear majority mandate of the people has turned against the people themselves. It is for the first time since 1989, that the youth and students of India are being treated as experimental guinea pigs in the RSS/BJP laboratory of divisiveness by pitting one against the other,” he added.
