BJP to protest outside Kejriwal’s house for AAP Govt’s failure to fulfill promises

The BJP will stage a protest outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on July 7 regarding the Delhi government’s so-called failure to fulfil promises made to employees of Delhi Transport Corporation(DTC), Delhi Jal Board(DJB), guest teachers, anganwadi workers and ASHA workers.

Announcing this here on Wednesday, leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly  Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the Kejriwal government has betrayed the employees.

The government has completely ignored the promises made to employees of DTC, Delhi Jal Board, guest teachers, anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers during the elections.

Bidhuri charged that the government is exploiting not only the retired employees of DTC but also the temporary and contractual workers, totaling 50,000 employees. The pensions of 28,000 retired employees have not been paid for the past three months.

Employees are facing financial hardships while the government spends over 500 crores annually on promoting Chief Minister Kejriwal's image, he said.

Temporary employees are working in thousands in DTC, and drivers are on contract in cluster buses.

Kejriwal had assured all these temporary and contractual employees that their salaries would be increased and their positions made permanent if the Aam Aadmi Party came into power.

However, like other unfulfilled promises, Kejriwal has forgotten this commitment as well.

The Delhi government has also deceived 22, 000 guest teachers by neither increasing their salaries nor regularizing their positions. Now, the Education Minister has attempted to mislead everyone by making false statements in the Legislative Assembly, Bidhuri claimed.
