The BJP demanded a judicial probe by a sitting judge of the High Court into the Muzaffarnagar violence. State party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak in a statement here on Monday said the inquiry would expose the persons behind the violence and the truth of the Samajwadi Party Government.
He said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was totally in effective in controlling the Muzaffarnagar violence. He advised SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to give up his love for son Akhilesh Yadav and take the reins of the Government in his own hands. Pathak said Mulayam was holding a meeting with the senior officers and giving directions to the State Chief Secretary. “This only goes in to prove the failure of the CM in controlling the reins of the Government”, explained Pathak.
Reiterating BJP’s demand of imposing President’s rule, Pathak accused the CM for indulging in vote bank politics and appeasing one section at the cost of inciting violence.
He condemned the detention and registration of false cases against senior party leaders of the Bharatiya Janata legislature Party including Hukum SinghSuresh Rana and others who wanted to visit the riot affected areas in Muzaffarnagar.
