The BJP on Monday set up an Election Management Centre at the party headquarters here to coordinate for rallies, public meetings and other means of campaigning for the Assembly elections in four states and the next year’s lok Sabha polls.
It will work as BJP’s war room for the forthcoming polls and will be headed by party vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will seek feedback about rallies and public meetings being conducted by the party across the country.
Inaugurating the centre, former BJP chief M Venkaiah Naidu also released a publication of BJP on 10 years’ misrule of the Congress and the scams and scandals during its regime. Naidu also dismissed the idea of Third Front and claimed it was a cover for the Congress party to divide the anti-Congress votes. “This third front is a tried and failed experiment. The Congress by itself and through these so-called parties is trying to divert the attention of the people from misrule of the UPA,” he said.
