As Kerala witnessed a rise of over 20,000 Covid-19 cases after a gap of two months, the BJP on Thursday hit out at the State Government and also took a dig at the ‘Kerala model of development ‘ claiming that the spread of positive cases in the state was a consequence of politics of “ appeasement” pursued by the Left-Front dispensation.
The CPI (M) countered the BJP charge blaming the central vaccine distribution policy for the escalation of positive cases. Kerala currently constitutes almost half of country’s coronavirus cases.
“Is it Kerala Model of Development ?”,asked BJP spokesperson Sambtit Patra and blamed the left-front government of “appeasement and carelessness”.
He said the state’s “unmindful relaxation” during Eid-Al-Adha last week led to the spike in cases.
