BJP questions SP's silence over power crisis, law and order issues

The BJP has questioned Samajwadi Party leaders’ silence over prevailing power crisis and bad law and order in the ongoing national convention saying leaders were targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to divert people’s attention from Akhilesh Yadav Government’s failure. leader of BJP legislature party Suresh Kumar Khanna said in a statement issued here on Thursday that SP leaders are talking about Modi’s working style and performance but has anyone spoken a word about Akhilesh Yadav Government’s failure to provide electricity. “The SP leaders blame the Centre for the prevailing power crisis in UP, which is wrong. Whenever UP has asked for additional power the Centre has provided the same. The fault lies with the State Government itself as it has failed to plug the line loss,” Khanna said in his statement. He also questioned why the SP leaders have raised questions about the Governor and judiciary in its party function. “If the Governor says that law and order situation is bad he becomes a Sanghi whereas a senior leader of the ruling party himself admitted that crime rate has gone up. Why Chief Minister has not taken any action against that leader,” Khanna asked. “In fact, this party convention is a family show where leaders are paying obeisance to members of a political family,” he said.
