Brother of BJP MlA Dharam Dev Solanki, Raj (50), was shot at by unidentified assailants in Palam Village late on Monday. Raj Solanki is a property dealer and vice-president of the BJP Media Wing.
“He was just a few metres from his office when two men on a motorcycle intercepted his car. After a heated argument, the duo opened fire at him. Raj tried to escape but was hit twice and collapsed,” said a policeman. He is said to be critical.
Police claimed the accused — supposedly known to Solanki — have been identified, but are absconding. It comes across as a case of property dispute, though a case of attempt to murder has been registered.
