New Delhi: BJP MP Sambit Patra took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his appeal to INDIA bloc rally participants to shop in Delhi, questioning whether Gandhi had ever visited Chandni Chowk.
Referring to alleged Vietnam and Bangkok stamps on Gandhi’s passport, Patra said the Congress leader had spoken about shopping but had not specified that he would do so in India. He also made a veiled remark about Gandhi’s purported shopping destination.
Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) president Upendra Kushwaha dismissed the INDIA bloc’s allegations of electoral irregularities as baseless and unsupported by facts.
Reacting to the Opposition’s rally in Delhi against alleged vote theft, Kushwaha said political parties were free to organise protests but should focus on issues concerning the public. He urged Opposition leaders not to mislead people or undermine democratic institutions, alleging that their actions weakened democracy.
