BJP launches hi-tech blitz to woo J&K

In order to accomplish its Mission 44 plus in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, BJP’s campaign managers have for the first time launched a hi-tech election campaign to woo the electorate.

Ahead of the first round of polling on 15 Assembly seats on November 25, the party has launched an aggressive ad blitzkrieg in vernacular press in Kashmir valley and in the Jammu region to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of all round development of the State and eviction of ‘dynastic rulers’ from the seat of power.

Before his arrival in the valley Modi has already become an household name.

The campaign managers have booked full page advertisements in leading Urdu dailies and also airing voice messages on local Radio FM network to connect to the voters. The local cable channels are also running small capsules of Modi’s appeal to elect BJP candidates in the State Assembly.

Hoardings with punch lines and larger than life images of Modi have also come up all over the place.

The main roads and vantage locations are pasted with these posters and hoardings in both the regions of the State.

Since BJP is banking heavily on 'Modi magic’ in Jammu region, the party on Tuesday also rolled out two 3-D virtual selfie campaign vehicles for wide publicity.

As the electioneering is reaching crescendo, the BJP would be using 'hologram' technology to showcase PM Narendra Modi in front of the ruler masses.

BJP's core team camping in Jammu is working round the clock to coordinate the street meetings where this technology would be put to effective use.

BJP spokesman in Jammu, Sunil Sethi said, "The campaign vehicles would help us spread the awareness about BJP's developmental agenda for the Assembly elections in the State". By exhibiting speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of the bigger audience we are hoping to cover the majority of Assembly seats.

In comparison to BJP's hi-tech election management the rival political parties are yet to join the race.

The Congress is relying on tradition methods of issuing press statements and holding public rallies and door to door campaign. PDP leaders  are also focusing more on public contact and not spending much on advertisements and campaign in the virtual world. National Conference leaders who have started using social networking sites have not been able to match the aggressive campaigning by the BJP.
