BJP infighting affecting development: Akhilesh

Published on:

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the factional fight within the BJP leadership was adversely affecting the development work in Uttar Pradesh as work on all development schemes has come to a grinding halt and the decision-making apparatus of the Yogi  Government has been paralysed.

“After completing four years in office, the Central BJP brass had to intervene to bring about a truce among the warring factions within the government and the party. The sole purpose of this exercise is to make the party organisation battle ready for capturing power in the 2022 UP Assembly elections. Even as the state is yet to recover from the crisis caused by the pandemic, the sole concern of the BJP is to retain power.

To hide its failures, false stories are being floated. Even as the government failed to cope up with the crisis caused by the second wave of pandemic, the BJP government is claiming that the government is prepared to face the third wave,’’ the SP chief  alleged. On the Covid vaccination drive, Akhilesh said, “The BJP Government has announced to give vaccine to everyone in the State till Diwali but even now vaccination centres are closing down due to a lack of vaccines. Due to the shortage of vaccines, there is a discussion of mixing the vaccines. It shows that the Government is making a mockery of itself without having any solid plan for vaccination.”
