The State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up for the proposed kisan rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Shahajahanpur on July 21. To take stock of the preparations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP State president Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey will visit Shahajahanpur on Tuesday.
In the proposed rally, the PM will address the farmers’ problems and highlight the Centre’s move to hike the MSP of the Kharif crops.
BJP State president Dr Pandey said that after BJP came to power the pro-farmer policies have started taking shape because the BJP is of the firm belief that a nation can progress only if the farmers are happy. “Working on this principle the Modi Government has taken up the challenge to double farmers’ income and is working in this direction,” he said.
This will be the fifth rally of PM in last three weeks. PM had addressed his first rally in Sant Kabir Nagar in the end of June and attended three back to back rallies in Azamgarh, his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi and in Mirzapur on July 14-15. Now all eyes are on the PM’s next big rally in Shahjahanpur which has been named as “Annadata rally” where farmers of the adjoining districts like lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Pilibhit,
Bareilly, Sitapur and Badaun will take part.
