After almost one and half years, political activities in Gujarat are again picking up in wake of civic body elections. On Wednesday BJP appointed 65 teams of observers to select candidates for the local body elections. Of these teams 34 will function for six municipal corporations and remaining 31 would be for other local bodies.
Each team will have three BJP leaders from Council of Gujarat Ministers, MPs, MlAs, Office-bearers of Gujarat BJP and chairmen of board and corporations. After finalising the names of the probable candidates, these teams would submit reports to the State BJP parliamentary board.
