Hitting out at the BJP, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that the party was trying to pour vitriol against secular forces with an aim to vitiate communal peace. So, it is the responsibility of secular parties now to stop this canard.
“The BJP leaders know that the much-hyped Gujarat model has failed to win the hearts of people and therefore the party has switched back to its communal agenda. leaders like Amit Shah have been talking of revenge openly to instigate people against each other,” Yadav said while addressing an election rally in favour of its candidate Yashbir Singh Dhobi in Bijnor on Tuesday.
The UP CM added that the BJP leaders do not have development on their agenda. The party cannot change the lifestyle of people. Adnd people know better than to vote for either the BJP or the Congress this time.
“The UPA has failed on all fronts, especially on keeping a tab on corruption and inflation. People do not want to see them in power anymore,” he said. “The Third Front will form the Government now. As the party with maximum seats will get Prime Minister’s post and Samajwadi Party has sent 80 MPs to lok Sabha so it is rather apparent that we will sweep elections in Uttar Pradesh, infact all the regional parties will do well and then they will join hands to form the Third Front after elections,” he said.
About performance of his Government he said his is the only Government that has fulfilled promises made during assembly elections in the record time. “We promise that villages in UP will get 22 hours electricity from 2016 and the Government will ensure payment of cane dues. Our Government has given job to 1.72 lakh shiksha mitras and new employment avenues will be opened for the youth,” he said.
