In a direct attack on the BJP and its CM candidate Kiran Bedi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that the BJP leaders have personally called him up and assured him that Bedi will lose the upcoming election. "Ever since Kiran Bedi was announced the CM candidate, the BJP leaders have been calling me up and saying, 'Don't worry, we will make sure that Kiran Bedi loses'. The gossip in town is not whether AAP will win or not, but that with how many seats will we win," said Kejriwal during the Delhi Dialogue on governance, lokpal and Swaraj at Mandavali in the Patparganj constituency.
This is for the first time this election season that AAP spoke about Swaraj during a public rally. Releasing their agenda for creating full self-governance in the Capital, Kejriwal said, "No MlA will spend their MlA fund without consulting the public. There will be complete self-governance where the power will be in the hands of the people of Delhi. This will be 'Aap Ki Sarkar'. No one will have to run around from department to department to get anything done. It will all be available through an application on your cellphone."
Standing from the Patparganj constituency, Manish Sisodia said, "We are the first ever party to practice Swaraj. In this constituency itself, I have used Rs4 crore from the MlA fund for the benefit of the constituency. People have also been kept in the loop about how and where the money is being spent.”
