Bihar will be given special status: NaMo

A day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took on the BJP for not giving any mention of special status to Bihar in their manifesto, BJP’s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi on Thursday emphatically declared that Bihar would be given special status when the NDA Government would come to power. Modi also slammed Nitish Kumar, Congress and lalu Prasad for their non-sensitive, all hype and tainted past.

“Amid bomb explosions at my Patna rally on October 27 I addressed the public rally and had declared that Bihar would be given Special status when we’d come to power but people are saying it is different way,” Modi declared while addressing public rally at Jehanabad.

He also cautioned that people should not believe those who were telling lie and cheating them while spreading rumors. “Unka biswas mat karo…savdhan rehne ki jaroorat hai aise logon se,” he said while referring towards Nitish umar.

In his short 15-minute speech Narendra Modi also slammed the Congress for plight of farmers and soldiers. “Recently an injured CRPF jawan was seen crying for helicopter, and medical services but was not provided those emergency services in time…kya jai jawan ise kehte hain…kya yeh vyahawahr accha hai,” he asked people.

He also said that here farmers were committing suicide out of debt as they have been denied the minimum support price of their agricultural production. “lal Bhadur Shastri ne kaha tha jai jawan-jai kisan…lekin yeh kehte hain mar jawan-mar kisan,” he charged the Congress.

“When our Government will come to power the farmers would be given minimum support price after leaving 50 per cent profit to them,” declared Modi amid cheer from the crowd.“When Gaya can be a tourist place why not JehanabadIJ There is lot of tourism potential in Jehanabad which can be tapped but for this one political intention should be clear,” he said.

While taking dig at the Congress, Modi said that during Rajiv Gandhi’s time it was 15 paisa out of one rupee which was reaching out to the common people “but now at madam Sonia’s time it has come down to 12 paisa out of one rupee”.

When there was Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Government at the centre, there was a plan for interlinking of rivers through which farmers of Bihar would have immensely benefited for irrigation and other purposes but “madam Sonia Gandhi got it scrapped”.

"Would you like such government to remain in powerIJ...would like to rule the countryIJ...", he asked the crowd. "Nikalo inko….badal do inko", he appealed the next moment. While making reference to RJC chief lalu Prasad, Narendra Modi said that the Congress party with lantern in their hand were plundering the wealth of the nation. "Hanth mein lantern le ke desh ka khajana loot rahi hai Congress party", he said amid big cheers from the crowd, mostly the middle class upper caste youths.

While attacking Congress party, Nitish Kumar and RJD leader lalu Prasad the BJP PM nominee Narendra Modi also addressed two other public rallies at Ara and Bikram in Bihar.
