Of the five ultra mega power plants as announced in the Union Budget, Bihar will get one. This was stated by former Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi. Modi said information in this regard was given to him by Union Energy Minister Piyush Goel in a telephonic talk on Sunday. He said PM Narendra Modi instructed to provide one plant for Bihar keeping in view the fragile power situation in the State.
“Bihar is now getting what it never got. Nitish Kumar had been the Chief Minister for about ten years but not a single power plant could be opened in Bihar and its power generation had been abysmally low at 110 MW,” said Modi and alleged that Nitish was only trying to hide his failures by accusing the Centre while PM Modi is fulfilling each promise he made during lok Sabha polls. He also claimed that in Central share, Bihar will get Rs3,81,394 crores, the second largest share after UP.
