A CNN-IBN-CSDS survey has predicted a massive gain for BJP in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, while giving upper hand to the AAP in Delhi. The survey predicts that the BJP will improve its tally of 10 seats to 41-49 seats in Uttar Pradesh and 20-24 seats in Rajasthan.
The survey says the AAP is expected to get four to six lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
In Uttar Pradesh, the survey predicts that the BSP tally will come down from 21 seats to 10 to 16 seats and the Samajwadi Party will be come down to eight to14 seats from 22 seats.
The Congress, which won 20 seats in 2009 in UP, is expected to be a big loser and gain just four to 10 seats in India's biggest State with 80 seats in lok Sabha. The survey also says that other parties may get up to six seats in UP.
According to the survey, the BJP is set to increase its share by 11 per cent in UP, while the SP may suffer a loss of five per cent in vote shares. The data says 51 per cent of Muslim voters blame the SP Government for the Muzzafarnagar riots.
In Rajasthan, where the BJP has just four seats in 2009, the voters are ready to back the party in the big way just as they did in the recent Assembly polls. The tally could reverse this time with the BJP winning 20 seats and the Congress four.
The BJP may secure 54 per cent vote share in Rajasthan, while the Congress may secure 33 per cent vote share.
The survey says, 34 per cent of the people participated in the survey preferred Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as next Prime Minister while 32 per cent favoured Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi was only favoured by 8 per cent. As many as 74 per cent of the participants favoured the AAP Government in Delhi.
