Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was on Thursday conferred Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) by Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao.
Rao, who is the Governor of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and Chancellor of Universities in the two States, presented the honorary degree to Bhagwat at the 8th Convocation of the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University in Nagpur. Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister for Animal Husbandary, Dairy Development and Fisheries Mahadev Jankar, Director General of ICAR Dr Trilochan Mohapatra and Vice Chancellor of the University Dr AK Misra were among those present on the occasion. Bhagwat had graduated in Veterinary Sciences from Nagpur.
