After Tapas Paul, it is the turn of a senior Minister in  the Mamata Banerjee Cabinet to make insensitive remarks against the citizens.

Keeping in line with the likes of Paul and party MlA Monirul Islam, a senior State Minister Jyotipriya Mullick on Monday made an utterly insensitive remark towards the family members of a slain student activist who was murdered last Saturday by alleged ruling party goons for protesting against the local underworld.

Comparing the relatives of the victim with dogs and ants State Food Minister Mullick said that “demanding CBI probe has been a fashion these days. Now people will demand a CBI investigation if a dog bites a dog and an ant bites an ant.”

The Minister who is also in charge of the party’s North 24 Parganas unit was asked whether the Government would allow CBI inquiry into the murder that had raised a massive hue and cry throughout the State.

Sourav Chowdhury the college goer belonging to a family of BJP supporters from Bamangachi in North 24 Parganas district was abducted from infront of his house, brutally murdered and his body was cut up into nine pieces by alleged Trinamool miscreants.
