In tandem with tabling in the State Assembly a stringent Bill that is expected to subjugate the notorious private hospitals guilty of deficient service and mass fleecing of patients Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Friday took up the cudgel against rogue schools and promised measures to reign them in as well.
Speaking in the House the Chief Minister who had for the past one week shocked-and-awed the private healthcare providers with a series of legal actions promised measures for private schools also.” She said, “I have reports as to how many private schools are charging huge amounts from the parents in the name of donations which is completely unacceptable. I will request these schools to be sensible and sensitive towards people’s woes and adjust their charges in a more humane way.”
