Bajpai lashes out at UP Govt for efforts to shield engineer

Intensifying its tirade against Akhilesh Yadav Government over Yadav Singh issue, State BJP president laxmikant Bajpai has demanded resignation of Chief Minister after the SC rejected the plea of the Government to stop CBI probe against corrupt engineer.“The Samajwadi party Government has lost its credibility as it is trying to protect a corrupt engineer. Hence CM should resign and seek fresh mandate,” he said in a statement issued here on Friday.
“It is unfortunate that UP Government has spent public money to fight the case in the Supreme Court just to save the corrupt engineer. The Government should reply why it was using public fund for the corrupt officials,” he said.Bajpai also said that CM should answer as who are the politicians who are likely to face music in the CBI probe. He also said that CM should make public as what happened to his decision to set up a commission on corruption as promised by the SP during the 2012 Assembly polls.
“It seems SP and BSP have nexus in the corruption in connection with the Yadav Singh,” he further alleged.Earlier, Bajpai went to the CB-CID headquarters here and asked for CB-CID probe report which gave a clean chit to Yadav Singh after SP Government came to power in 2012.
