The attempt of a Congress MP to join the convoy of the visiting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav led to an untoward incident in Hyderabad on Sunday. Police said that four persons pelted stones at a vehicle of security personnel in Yadav’s convoy in Banjara Hills.
“We have identified four persons and booked cases against them”, said Deputy Commissioner of Police West Zone Satyanarayana. The incident occurred when Congress MP from Secunderabad Anjan Kumar Yadav reportedly tried to follow the car of Akhilesh Yadav but his security persons stopped his car.
Angered over this incident, Yadav’s supporters allegedly threw stones at a vehicle carrying the security persons. However, nobody was injured in the incident. Akhilesh was in Hyderabad to attend the national executive of All India Yadav Mahasabha, an organisation of backward classes.
