The CBI on Thursday interrogated Mumbai-based model and television serial producer Priti Bhatia for the second time on her alleged links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chief Pradip Sethy, a key accused in the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam in the State. Bhatia reached the CBI office here with her mother in the morning to appear before the probing agency. She was grilled for nearly three hours about her business link with the AT Group chief.
During first interrogation that took place at the CBI office here on September 23 afternoon, sources said, Bhatia could not show sufficient documents and had requested the probing agency to give her time to produce the documents.
Notably, the investigating agency had raided the model's residence in Mumbai on August 15 in connection with her link with the company. From the incriminating documents seized from Bhatia's house and AT Group office here, the CBI found Bhatia, Sethy and Indu Dewan were directors in a company, named as 'Prismheights Films and Entertainment Private limited' having its registered office at Santa Cruz (West) in Mumbai. The CBI quizzed the model about AT Group's share in the Prismheights Films and the monetary transactions. She was also asked about their productions and other expenses from the company's money.
