The ICFAI campus was enveloped in silence and shock after one Assistant Professor brutally murdered his two sons, buried them in the city outskirts before jumping before a train.

The ghastly saga of A Gururaghvendra Prasad has come as a big shock to his colleagues and students who had never imagined that a man with a normal appearance and cool composure can resort to such a brutality just to spite his estranged wife.

The tragic story started to unfold on Saturday when Prasad took out his sons 9 year old Vittal Viranchi and 5-year-old Nanda Vihari as court had permitted him to meet his sons once a month.

However when the boys did not return home till late evening, a worried mother Sushila lodged a complaint with the police. Even as police looking for him, Prasad went to his wife's house in Malkajgiri and had a heated arguments. He apparently told her that she can find the boys in Medchal, where he had his home.

later in the night he committed suicide by jumping before a train at Secunderabad railway station.

Meanwhile police zeroed in on the area in Medchal with the help of mobile signals as he had made some calls and sent messages from there before or after killing the two boys. Police said Prasad used knife to slash the necks of the two boys and later buried them in a five feet deep pit.

Police investigations revealed that Prasad had hired services of two laborers to dig the pit saying he was planning to lay foundation stone for his house there.

"It was a premeditated murder", said Shekhar Goud, Police Inspector Malakajgiri. The bodies were exhumed in the presence of shocked relatives of Sushila.

Sushila, an employee of an IT company, had married Prasad in 2004 but serious disputes marred their relationship. While Sushila had approached court for divorce, Prasad was opposing it and tried to involve many people to mediate between them.

Swaroop, brother in law of Prasad alleged that Prasad had a violent nature. "But we never expected this from him", he said. Prasad taught Chemistry at Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) near Hyderabad.
