Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday said that the State Government is drafting a new land policy. He said this while interacting with the newsmen at the Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhavan in Guwahati on Wednesday and added that the State is not going to implement new land policy formulated by the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government.
“We will bring a new Bill in the State regarding land acquisition for industry and other purposes,” Gogoi said while slamming the Central Government over the newly formulated land acquisition policy He said the new law is against the interest of farmers and will take away the right to have proper compensation against land acquisition.
