A local court in Assam has issued a summon to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to appear before the court for tweeting a ‘derogatory’ remark against PM Narendra Modi.
Justice Naba Kumar Deka Barua of the district court in Diphu has issued summon against Kejriwal ordering him to appear in his court on January 30, 2017. The court summon was issued after one Surya Rongphar filed a criminal case against the Delhi CM over his tweet on December 15 this year saying that the Prime Minister is only Class XII pass and that his degree is fake. Considering the cognisance of the case the court has issued summon against Arvind Kejriwal. A case (number 459/16) has been registered against him under section 499/500/501 of IPC,” said the counsel of Rongphar.
It may be mentioned here that Arvind Kegrwal twitted in his own account on December 15, that Narendra Modi is only 12 pass and all other succeeding degrees are fake. “Modi Ji 12 pass hai uski baad degree farji hai”.
