A local court in Assam has issued a bailable warrant against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for failing to appear in the court on January 30 this year.
Justice Naba Kumar Deka Barua of Diphu Court in Assam’s karbi Anglong district issued the warrant against Kejriwal and fixed the next date for hearing on May 8. The court has also asked the Delhi Chief Minister to appear in person on the date.
It may be mentioned here that Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Surjya Rongphar had filed a defamation case against Kejriwal last December for his tweet in which the Delhi CM said, “Modi Ji 12 pass hai, uski baad degree fargi hai.”
