A wanted criminal with a reward of `1 lakh on his head, Saddam, brother-in-law of Atiq Ahmad’s younger brother Khalid Azeem alias Ashraf has returned from Dubai and his last location was traced in Delhi. A police team has been despatched to Delhi to ensure his arrest. The last location of Ashraf’s wife Zainab was also found in Delhi, so the police drew a conclusion that brother and sister Saddam and Zainab were hiding somewhere in Delhi.  Though Saddam had left for Dubai before the killing of Umesh Pal by the Atiq-Ashraf gang, he had played a vital role in this murder conspiracy by arranging a meeting of the shooters with Ashraf on February 11 in Bareilly jail. When things were finalised, he left India knowing it well that after the elimination of Umesh Pal, the police will arrest him. Umesh, prime witness of BSP MLA Raju Pal murder of 2005, was killed on February 24. Saddam managed all VIP facilities for Ashraf, husband of his sister Zainab, in Bareilly jail. Immediately after the shifting of Ashraf to Bareilly jail, Saddam also reached there and lived in a rented house. He managed all facilities for Ashraf in jail besides providing him an iPhone to be in contact with gang leader Atiq and other members.  Those who wanted to meet Ashraf in Bareilly jail, stayed at Saddam’s rented house. Criminals used to meet Ashraf in jail and this frequency increased in February. The top shooters of the gang Asad, Guddu Muslim, Gulam, Sabir, Arman and Usman had met Ashraf in Bareilly jail on February 11 to give a final shape to the murder plot which was executed on February 24. Besides Saddam, his sister Zainab, who is the wife of Ashraf, was also involved in this conspiracy along with Shaista Parveen, wife of Atiq. All of them are absconding. The police are keeping a track and recently the location of Saddam and Zainab was found in Delhi.
