All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and member of lok Sabha Asaduddin Owaisi has lashed out at the Akhilesh Yadav Government of Uttar Pradesh for its failure to prevent the transfer of construction material for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
He said how the Government can allow such activity when the matter was pending before the Supreme Court. “Not even a bird can flutter its feather there till the court gives its verdict”, he said.
Addressing a mammoth gathering on the occasion of Miladunnabi, the birth day of prophet Mohammad in Hyderabad, Owaisi spoke on a wide range of issues including the political and the social situation.
He warned that the provocative activities of right wing organisations in Ayodhya can create a serious situation. He alleged that UP Government and the Sangh Parviar outfits were hand in glove to create trouble over Ayodhya.
He demanded that the Government should immediately seize the stones brought to Ayodhya. He reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the people elected him to improve the lot of the poor and the farmers and not to build temples.
He also charged the BJP with adopting double standards on the issue of national flag. Pointing out that a Muslim couple was hounded out of a cinema hall in Mumbai when they did not stand up for the national anthem, he wanted to know what the right wing groups will do when the Prime Minister has shown disrespect to the national anthem by walking way when it was being played in Russia.
On the forthcoming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, he exuded confidence that the MIM will win hands down. He asked the gathering whether they will vote for Hyderabadis or “Baheris” (outsiders) in the GHMC elections to which the crowd roared back Hyderabadi.
“There can not be a bigger Hyderabadi than me”, Asaduddin Owaisi said.
