Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s monthly average electricity bill for April and May has come to around Rs 55,000. According to revelations by RTI activist Vivek Garg, the CM’s bungalow has two connections of sanctioned load of 34 kilowatt and 22 kilowatt respectively for the two floors. With a sanctioned load of 34 kilowatt, the bill of Rs 48,629 is from April 6 to May 3, and for the sanctioned load of 22 kilowatt, the bill is around six thousand. This means that on an average, the CM is paying Rs 55,000 as his electricity bill since April. Kejriwal had shifted to the new bungalow in March.
“The Kejriwal Government had promised that they will live like aam aadmi. The party came to power in the name of that very aam aadmi. On the other hand, their bill indicates what kind of lifestyle they are having. They are mis-spending the money of the public and have misguided the very aam aadmi that they claim to serve,” said RTI activist Vivek Garg.
According to sources, the CM’s bungalow has more than two dozen air conditioners. The office of the CM had earlier claimed that on direction of Kejriwal, air conditioners from all the rooms were removed.
