The Andhra Pradesh Government on Monday decided to pay `25 lakh as ex-gratia to the family of Sepoy Mustaq Ahmed, who was killed in the recent Siachen Avalanche.
The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting here, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
A member of Ahmed’s family will also be given a Government job, a communication from the Chief Minister’s Office said, adding the Cabinet paid homage to Ahmed during the meeting.
Ahmed, who hails from Kurnool district of Andhra, was one of the 10 Armymen killed in the Siachen avalanche earlier this month.
