Angry over statements of politicians on availability of cheap full meal, a Vadodara-based academician has sent money orders to Congress leader Raj Babbar, Union Minister in UPA Government Farooq Abdullah and MP Rasheed Masood.
Nikitin Contractor, who runs an educational institution in Vadodara, says that politicians are fooling people. “But now they have crossed all the limits. Farooq Abdullah, a person who is part of the Government claims that a meal is available at `1. These days, even half cup of tea is not available at `5. In our country, one litre bottle of water is being sold at `20,” says Contractor.
People should protest against such ridiculous behaviour of leaders, he says, adding that I have done a bit from my side. Even to eat free foods available at gurdwara, temple, mosque or any other religious place, one would need money to reach there. Even transportation is not that cheap in cities like Mumbai and Delhi, where these leaders are living luxuriously. Contractor has sent `30 to Abdullah, `150 to Rashid Masood and `360 to Raj Babbar.
