An act to deflect public attention, says Maya

Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Sunday dismissed the Union Cabinet expansion by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an exercise  to deflect the attention of the people from the pressing issues  and the all round failure of the NDA Government to deliver to the people as per the promises they had made during the 2014 lok Sabha elections.

The four-time UP CM Mayawati said Modi has singularly failed to address the poverty, unemployment and the cleaning of the river Ganga.

“The NDA Government failure in tackling poverty and  unemployment besides it’s misuse of funds in Ganga cleanness scheme were some of the reason for this expansion so that people get confused,” Mayawati said.

Alleging that the Prime Minister has pushed the narrow agenda of the RSS by expanding the Cabinet, Mayawati said, “Modi is pushing  the agenda of the RSS even as this policy has vitiated peace and tranquility in the country and  has also adversely affected the development process’’.

She also alleged that the reshuffle has also exposed the simmering tension and deep fissures with the ruling alliance.
