The results of the exit poll of Bihar assembly elections are also being watched by the current studying and alumni in Aligarh Muslim University.
In this election, former president of AMU Students Union, Mashkoor Usmani is contesting from the Jale Assembly seat of Darbhanga district being the Congress candidate. Apart from this, there are hundreds of students from Bihar who are contesting their candidate in their district. In view of this, the current and former students of AMU were eyeing on the exit poll.
In Aligarh Muslim University, more than 4 thousand students of Bihar study, even in the student union elections, the students play a decisive role.
Senior student leader Mohd Shikoh said that the results of exit poll clearly showed that the public wants change. If the results of the exit poll are seen around the actual result, then the hint is clear that this time the people have voted for the change. The people are not happy with the present government. Once the results are out, only then something concrete can be said.
Nadeem Ansari Former Vice President Students' Union AMU said that whenever elections are held in Bihar, thousands of students studying in AMU keep their eyes on them. This time also during the elections, students have been taking information about each activity there. Former president of student union is standing in the elections, so the interest is increased even more. The election results are expected to be same as the results of exit poll.
Faizul Hassan Former President, Student Union AMU said that it is right that students of Bihar study in large numbers in Aligarh Muslim University, apart from this, there is a large number of students among eastern Uttar Pradesh, so it is natural that If there is any political activity, then the students keep an eye on the results of the exit poll. It has been made necessary for students to discuss the results but it will be said openly after the election results.
Shahzad Alam Barani Former President of Students Union, AMU said that AMU has given this country great talent as well as big politicians, that is why students are not able to separate themselves from political activities. This is not the first time. It is said that the AMU alumnus has contested the assembly elections there even before. The students of this place have been actively involved in the election. I keep getting calls regarding the exit poll results and the discussion goes on, now it will be seen how close the results of the exit poll can go to election results .
