The Railway police on Monday arrested a miscreant who had allegedly attacked and robbed a US national on a city suburban train more than a week ago.
Identifying the arrested person as one Rajkumar Tiwari, the police said that the accused had confessed to having attacked and robbed American national Michelle Marks (34), inside a running local train between Charni Road and Marine lines stations on the Western Railway on August 18.
The miscreant, in his 20s, had slashed the victim woman with a sharp weapon after she resisted his attempt to rob her I-phone.
