Claiming that the reports of Amar Singh joining the Samajwadi Party is just a rumour, party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said that his party will win all the by-elections in the State to be held on September 13 next. “The BJP is on the downward trend after the lok Sabha elections and they will have to face the humiliation in the by-elections to one lok Sabha and 11 Assembly seats in UP,” he said in Mainpuri on Sunday.
Addressing the party workers at the district party office in wake of the Mainpuri lok Sabha by-elections, Yadav said that the BJP was just interested in communal violence in the State to get votes.“The State BJP president and other leaders are giving provocative speeches to instigate the majority community against the minority. But we will not allow such to happen and will take stern action against them,” he said.
The SP leader also ruled out any move by Amar Singh to rejoin the party. “There is no such move and it is just a rumour. He has been sacked from the party and there is no move to take him back,” he said. Yadav said that the SP candidate from Mainpuri lok Sabha seat Tej Pratap Singh Yadav will win by a record margin of votes.
