Before Mahakumbh-2025, the width of Alopibagh flyover will be increased to four lanes. The Bridge Corporation has done the survey for widening. The Bridge Corporation is getting the design done by the experts of Delhi for the doubling of the flyover, which will be ready in a month. Then DPR will be prepared, on the basis of this the budget will be decided.

In Kumbh 2013 traffic started on this flyover of about one km. A budget of about Rs 36 crore was spent in the construction. It is estimated that a budget of Rs 50-60 crore will be spent on doubling. The flyover is built from opposite Sardar Patel Seva Sansthan to near Bangar Dharamshala. It has made it convenient for vehicles travelling from Jhunsi to Naini,

The flyover is situated near the Harshvardhan statue from the side of Geeta Niketan bridge. Initially, the traffic was facilitated by the flyover. However, due to increase in vehicles and traffic, there is often a jam. In Mahakumbh 2025, the width of the flyover will be increased so that people do not have to face the problem of jam.

Chief Project Manager of Setu Nigam Manoj Kumar Agarwal said in order to increase the width of the flyover, the design is being made by the experts of Delhi. After the design is ready, the process of widening will start. Efforts will be made to complete the work before Mahakumbh.
