All Indian languages grew borrowing & lending, says Indologist Kalyanaraman

Indologist Dr S Kalyanaraman of Chennai claims that the decipherment of seals dating back to Indus Valley Civilization has demolished the meaninglessness of “wars” over the antiquity of Indian languages.

“The decipherment of more than 8,000 seals excavated from the sites of Mohenjodaro and Harappa sites prove that terms like Dravidian, Aryan and Munda are divisive expressions. Indian languages grew lending and borrowing words and letters from other languages,” the octogenarian scholar who was conferred with D Litt by Deccan College, Pune,  told The Pioneer.

For more than four decades, this Ph D holder who belonged to the elite Indian Railway Services was engaged in the study of Indus script which helped him in opening vistas to the world of River Saraswati.

His findings on River Saraswati (hitherto a mythological river) were endorsed by the Departments of Space and Atomic Energy.
