The inclusion of Aligarh in the first phase of the Indian Smart City Award created an atmosphere of joy in the Municipal Corporation. Thirty smarts cities out of 100 have been selected in this competition.
City Commissioner Satya Prakash Patel said that we get this honor and pride by the trust and cooperation of the citizens. In the first phase of the Indian Smart City Award, four smart cities of Uttar Pradesh have been selected, including Agra, Varanasi and Saharanpur. He said that day and night efforts of public representatives, high officials, municipal officials and employees has resulted in this honor.
Hoped that Aligarh will also be selected in the final of the Indian Smart City Award by the cooperation and trust of its people. The Smart Cities Award competition is organized under the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.
ISAC will recognize and reward cities, projects and innovative ideas that are promoting sustainable development in urban areas in India. Also encouraging inclusive, equitable, safe, healthy and supportive cities. 30 smart cities out of 100 have been selected in the competition. Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Municipal Commissioner said that selection is a big achievement in the first phase of the Indian Smart City Award.
