Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister for conducting roadshow on second consecutive day in Varanasi, Samajwadi President Akhilesh Yadav has said, “Narendra Modi has failed in the first attempt of examination forcing him to reappear and he is doomed to fail again.” Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday addressed election meetings in Chanduli, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts.

“Pradhan Mantri fail ho gaye isliye dobara roadshow kar rahe hain (Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed in the first roadshow on Saturday so conducted second show on Sunday). Why he held the second roadshow. Because he failed in the examination on Saturday so he is appearing for the examinations again. In the coming days he will remain busy in such events till the next elections,” said Akhilesh Yadav addressing election meetings in Chanduli and Sonbhadra.

This part of east UP goes to polls in seventh and last phase of polling for the State Assembly election on March 8. Modi is camping in Varanasi, his lok Sabha constituency, since Friday and left for Delhi on Sunday evening.

“SP-Congress alliance held a historic road show in Varanasi on Saturday and no political party in the history of the holy city got such an overwhelming support from the people,” said Akhilesh Yadav adding, “the people of  Varanasi   by their huge turnout at the road show have clearly demonstrated as to which party they are supporting”.

Akhilesh Yadav in election meetings rebutted the charges leveled by PM Modi against his Government during the campaign in Assembly elections.

“Prime Minister in one election meeting talked about mass copying in examinations in UP, I want to tell you that a known cheating mafia recently shared the dais with the Prime Minister in one of his election meeting’’.

Alleging that the Prime Minister was ill-informed and ignorant about  Uttar Pradesh, SP president said “Prime Minister is ignorant about the law and order machinery in UP and making baseless allegations. The State police are now high tech and operate through the Dai 100 and accessible to the people round the clock.”  Modi had recently charged that the police stations in UP have turned into the office of the Smajwadi Party.

Akhilesh Yadav promised to the people that if voted to power again then his government would firmly deal with the problem of the extortion and bribery by the police. “State Government will take effective measures to check the  menace of bribery and extortion by the police from the common people, you need to file your complaint on the  Dial 100 and the government will ensure that money is returned by the police and  such incidents are not repeated’’.
