Akhilesh, Shivpal and Azam hold closed-door meeting

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav held a closed-door meeting with Samajwadi Party State president Shivpal Singh Yadav and senior party leader Azam Khan to discuss involvement of youth in popularising Government achievements across the State.

A senior party leader told The Pioneer that the meeting was impromptu and the senior leaders decided to have a discussion on party issues. “This meeting assumes importance because of the recent political development in which some youth leaders were thrown out of the party. This is the first time that senior party leaders have held a meeting after that,” the source said.

It is believed that the three discussed in detail how to involve the youth in spreading the message of good work being done by the Akhilesh Yadav Government. Akhilesh  is head of the youth wing and has proposed some names who could be given responsibility.

They also discussed Mulayam Singh Yadav’s rally in Azamgarh on October 6. “This meeting is a good beginning. It seems like the ice is melting and the thaw in relations of chacha and bhatija is back,” he said.
