Defending Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law and Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday accused BJP of blowing the issue of land deals out of proportion.

“The land issue was being raised by the BJP as an attempt to distract the attention of the people from other things,” he said without naming any one.

While addressing a rally in Barabanki he said which party does not give land to companies to set up project for the development of the area when it comes to powerIJ  “There is an attempt to distract the attention of the people from other things,” he said.

Attacking BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi he said the Gujarat Chief Minister is a symbol of division in the country. “The new abbreviation of Modi is— Model of Dividing India,” he said adding that people should be aware of the conspiracy being hatched by the communal forces in the country.

Yadav said that people should not be confused and make up their minds to support the SP candidate as it can only thwart the move of the BJP. “Third Front Government will come to power at the Centre after the elections and the Samajwadi Party would play an important role in the Government formation,” he said.

Narrating in detail about the achievements of his Government, Yadav said that in the past none of the Government had done such work for the people of the State. The schemes like distribution of laptops and introduction of unemployment allowance has gone very well with the masses.

“Ours is the Government for the poor and has launched schemes for the benefit of farmers, youth and minority,” he said adding, “SP has always stood for protecting the secularism of the country and would continue to do so in future.”
